An agreement was signed on 22 September 2021 for the construction of approach road for the integrated waste management facility (IWMF) between the Program Management Unit, Waste Management Flagship Program under National Environment Commission Secretariat (NECS) and the Construction Development Corporation Limited (CDCL), a DHI company. The contract was awarded at a contract price of Nu. 85,818.022.25 (Ngultrum Eighty-Five Million Eight Hundred Eighteen Thousand Twenty-Two and Chetrum Twenty-Five) only. An approach road of length 2.8 km and width 5.5 m for the IWMF at Memelakha, Thimphu shall be substantially completed in a period of 12 months.
