The Royal Government of Bhutan Receives Three Garbage Compactor Trucks from the Government of the Republic of Korea

β€’ His Excellency Mr. Lee Jang-keun, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bhutan, handed over three garbage compactor trucks to the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, today in Thimphu.

β€’ The three garbage compactor trucks from the Government of the Republic of Korea were received under its Small Grant Aid program for the year 2022.

β€’ Two garbage compactor trucks will be allocated to Thimphu Dzongkhag, and one will be assigned to Trashigang Dzongkhag. The garbage compactor trucks will contribute to dealing with the ever-increasing amount of waste produced daily, especially in urban areas. Moreover, the trucks will assist in minimizing the carbon footprint of the country and support the Government's environmental sustainability initiatives.
